Since the weather is going to hell in a hand basket this afternoon and work will indefinitely be canceled tomorrow, I think I will get work done on my play. Yes! I am writing again! I have the outline all done and now I just have to start "writing it." Stage directions. Etc.
It's for 2 very important people in my life. The past. The present. It speaks very loudly to me and even if, it's something I need to do.
The meds do work wonders! I feel like me again! Peace with the world and whatnotrot.

All I want to do is plan my garden, go to San Diego, and curl up by the fire playing Zelda Ocarina of Time. HA! I'm old school!

I sense something divine in you
Last night was FUN! Today I didn't feel so great this morning (well after Husband and I decided to spend a little QT in bed-that felt great) but the day is well you know, busy.
But we got to spend some good time just the two of us last night then wonderfully Judith and Casillas joined us and that was great! I got to hear how much fun he thought my San Diego sweetheart Chrissy was and what a great life she lives! I will see for myself in about a month!! WOO!!
And it was just plain good fun. And now I'm tired.
Go look at the parents house, go to dinner with family, pack I MUST PACK SOME CLOTHES for this trip right?, and it's like no degrees in New York right now, and I have a long list of things I want to accomplish while we're there but you know what, I just love being in that city that it none matters much.
I'm so ready to go there. I'm so ready to go to St. Lucia too!!! Watch out Amy Winehouse, we're heading that way eventually!

I got this coat for Christmas. Thanks Jessica Simpson for not being totally slutty and a little bit classy! Mine's in gray. It's super hott.

So I have been so slammed at work. But in a good way. Very focused. Got a new girl up front. She's great. Things will calm down in about a month because we are getting a whole new computer system program overhaul all next week!!! SWEET!
Stomach Bug/Food Poisoning something this weekend caused me to miss Christmas with the in-laws. God I never want to be that sick again. And I will never eat Burger King ever again, ever. Be it their fault or not, it's probably a good resolution anyway.
New York City this weekend for a very quick jaunt. I'm very excited. Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame annex. Jasper Johns at MOMA. My friend Halsey's exhibit at 11 Rivington. Some Broadway for the moms (I'm going with my mom, her best friend, and her best friend's daughter who is practically my sister). Gramercy Tavern. Masstransiscope. And then, cherry on top, staying at the Waldorf Astoria (my mom hoards every kind of travelers points and got us the room for free! She's a genius!)!!!!
And then we daughters head home, mothers head to Chile and Argentina, and the very next day we come to work to a week of new program training. Whew. I will be happily pleasantly tired.

In other news, my cousin is doing all this ancestry tracking for us and through a DNA match, found that my mother's maiden name might be wrong; her great grand-father might have been either adopted or illegitimate in one way or another; and we may be Caldwells instead of Claytons. The Caldwells of the Caldwells who came from Scotland to Nova Scotia down to Arkansas some how. We're still working that out. But we are in touch with a Caldwell in Nova Scotia who shares important DNA markers with us and he has the family history back 300 years and is in touch with Caldwells who never left Scotland and are still there kicking it. Hmmmm. I am starting to find this fascinating!

I have been busting my henie at work, I think I'm taking too much Zoloft, family has been all about buying a house, work, work, work, Andy Warhol exhibit, we've hired someone new at work, trying to squeeze Christmas in, putting up Christmas decorations, new year's, trying to catch up with friends, too tired all the time, not been sick yet, fingers crossed, starting to plan my spring garden (since my crumby neighbor cut down their tree I have so much more sun now!), sad to take down Christmas lights, maybe a 3rd puppery? a puppery named Stanley?, trying to reconnect with the world, playing Zelda on the DS and loving it, fireside, 2nd anniversary, New York City soon, San Diego soon, St Lucia in September, I love love love you all.
