Mars ain't the kind of place to raise your kids

This. I'm just so sad. Warning: Possibly not safe for work. But if you read this with any regularity, you know nothing is. Possibly.

Watched Dustin Hoffman and Roy Schieder in The Marathon Man last night. It was really good! So suspenseful in that way 70s movies were. They didn't give you everything and it just made you want more, want more.

Finishing
The Color Purple tonight. Then going to start reading A Mercy by Toni Morrison. I'm really looking forward to that. Also, REALLY really looking forward to this, the new one from Margaret Atwood. Almost like a sequel to Oryx and Crake (which was sooooo good).

Husband is reading Aldous Huxley's A Brave New World. I love it when we get on the same SciFi page together.

----
Barrett, have you read Oryx and Crake yet?

I spanked that ripe bit of Atwood a long time ago. Her new novel is mocking me from the top shelf of my desk as I type. Curses!
